Passing of A Great Man Franklin D Roosevelt

The people of the Dominion and the United States were shocked last Thursday afternoon by the news of the unexpected passing of Franklin D Roosevelt at Warm Springs Georgia at age sixty three. He had been president for twelve years and was one of the Big Three of the Allied Nations. His death is a severe loss to peace loving people worldwide. Manitoba citizens joined Americans in tribute with flags at half mast and memorial services. He leaves a life of unselfish service and friendship to Canada and Britain. May God rest his weary soul in peace.
