Farm Stock Sale At Bagot Draws Large Manitoba Crowd
One of the largest crowds in years attended Dickson's Bagot stock sale in Manitoba last week with over a thousand present. Prices were strong and about $6,000 realized. Reeve S C Duff led the sale with W Henry of Portage la Prairie and F C Borton of MacGregor as assistants. Bagot ladies served lunches raising about $100, proceeds to be shared between the WMS and the Bagot Hall Paint Fund.

Pte Thelma Smale of the C W A C Winnipeg spent a brief leave with her parents Mr and Mrs J H Smale. Their son Jack serving overseas sent birthday wishes by cable. Dr G A Dickson was inducted as pastor at Pilgrim Congregational Church Benson Minnesota with ministers including Dr J R Johns formerly of MacGregor now at Fremont Congregational Minneapolis. Dr Dickson says Americans are earnest about the war and speak kindly of the British Empire and Colonies.
