Sidney Folks Stage Play Reduced Phone Rates in Manitoba
The Sidney group staged the three act play Safety First in a well attended performance with strong roles by Geo Goulding, Rev W T Marchan Brown and Ken Routley. The Sidney Orchestra provided music. lunch and dancing followed. The piece will tour Edrans and nearby towns as a community welcome. In Manitoba the Telephone System offers reduced rates to attract subscribers in Elkhorn and Virden with until April 7th deadlines and no installation charges. The plan cuts annual costs from 21 to 18.05 dollars in Elkhorn and from 27 to 21 dollars in Virden with small quarterly discounts for prompt payment.
