A well attended meeting at the Allies Theatre, hosted by the local Agricultural Society, featured Prof. R White man of Manitoba Extension Service. He spoke on Junior Live Stock and Seed Clubs and a North Norfolk committee was formed to establish one or two clubs with young members becoming future adult managers and boards. An upcoming meeting will be held after canvassing potential members.
The Extension Service outlines youth stock clubs forming in MecGregor district to train in livestock judging. Members should join voluntarily, run meetings like other societies, and judge livestock in early summer to gauge animal sizing. Brandon Fair week would host a judging event with three members camping as guests of the fair board, followed by local and Seed Fair competitions in winter to seed broader club formation.
On Tuesday April 15 voters in the MacGregor School District will decide on a by law to fund an additional pupil room at the school. If approved the district would incur about 950 dollars yearly for principal and interest on 8000 dollars borrowed. A meeting will be held at the MacGregor Municipal Hall to discuss the plan and its costs.
