The Teachers' Local of District Five held its fourth March meeting at MacGregor School. Miss L Stewart led a brief business period followed by a social evening of singing contests dancing and human bingo run by Mrs Lee L Stewart Miss K Vance and Miss T Calvert. MacGregor teachers served a lunch.

Rabies Warning Expands in Southern Manitoba Wildlife
Provincial and federal health authorities warn of a developing rabies outbreak in southern Manitoba. Wild foxes wolves and rabbits show infection yet cases remain limited but pose risk to humans and dogs. Education efforts and vaccine provisions are in place with reporting and diagnosis coordinated by Health departments and the Veterinary Laboratory.
