Bagot community notes show events and misfortunes
Mrs Geo Bagot Albinet and family report Mr and Mrs Albert Pogue recovering from flu. S. H. McLachlan visited Portage la Prairie with her mother. The Bagot Beaver Beet Ring held a successful Image Creek school meeting on March 30. J H Richardson escaped a near accident when his car skidded into a ditch. A novelty canoe night drew patrons and prizes were won by Dorothy Dickson and partner, Marsh Smith and Mrs W Machan, and Mrs Geo Thompson. April 1 featured Bagot Young Peoples Union with music, duets, and Dr Geo A Dickson on NSF not sufficient funds. Sixty years ago pioneer Jas Barrett of Elora, Ont. left his farm for Portage la Prairie district, now 100 acres with wife, active in community work.
