Primary Producers Co operative Agency Ltd Brisbane reports 9000 marsupial skins to be sold on September 1. Wallaroos fetched 3d per lb while scrub wallabies brought 6d per lb, other lines remained firm. Demand described as good across all descriptions.
In Longreach a fire inquiry heard Jack Lewis and two companions describe a Studebaker fire on the Longreach Campola Park road on August 11. Back firing caused the blaze. the car valued at £425 was insured for £300 and destroyed in about 15 minutes.
Isisford reports light rain yesterday and a stronger storm last night. Total rainfall to date about half an inch, district average similar. Town well supplied with provisions and no rationing has been adopted yet.

Some 600000 copies were printed and will be mailed to households. The aim is to convert current bond holders and persuade others to invest regularly in Commonwealth securities.
