The West Longreach council objects to leasing land in the abandoned Longreach town site in Bateroy parish. The Land Commissioner lists 330 acres of unalienated land and roads in sections 1 and 4. Part of the area lies within Stock Trucking Reserve R32 and R47, with roads to be closed and stock reserve excised. The council says no good purpose and cites expense.
A dispute over charges for Catholic Tennis Court work ends with the Council agreeing to send a full itemised account to the Catholic Tennis Club. The club alleged priority delays, while the Council notes time sheets diverge from the club’s claim of two and a half days of work. Work on Presbyterian Tennis Club court continues.
Isisford hosted games against fracombe and Muttaburra with the B team winning 20–0 and the A grade triumphing 16–0. Tries were scored by Wheeler Moriarty McLune Bignell Upkett converted. standout players included J McLune Bignell Wheeler Lake and coach J Bates who impressed with timely runs and two converted tries.
