Trial of Frank Davis for indecent assault at Jundah store
In Longreach Circuit Court, Francis Charles Davis known as Slogger was found guilty of indecent assault involving a 4 year old girl at a store yard behind Jundah premises. The case featured testimony from the child, her mother, doctor Alexander and police, with corroborating observations from witnesses at the store and nearby hotel. The jury heard about tanks, petrol tins, and a back yard where the alleged acts occurred, and Davis faced a three year sentence with hard labour.
