Isisford Amateur Races Opens Sixth Meeting In Bad Weather
Isisford Amateur Race Club carried on with seven events despite light rain and poor attendance. Officials and riders including Gore-Jones, Owens, MacKellar, Cuzens, and Johnson managed starts and decisions. Isis Downs and Barcoo horses dominated with seven wins, while Antholite and Widin scored notable wins, and Ruthven and Lumley bars also placed well. The Riders’ Trophy went to J Gore-Jones with 31 points, and a publican’s booth aided hospital funds.
