Longreach Rugby League Entertainment Draws 1100 Crowd
A Saturday night show at the Longreach Shire Hall drew about 1100 people. The event, planned for 600, tested seating and supplies as volunteers and Maypole participants including Nancy Lucas and Ida Rule performed. The evening featured eurythmics, a mock wedding by Geo Blake-Peare, and a leg show that did not occur, with dancing continuing to midnight.
