Paris 1718 Letter Condemned by Parliament and Burned
A long dispatch reports that a Letter from the Archbishop of Rheims to the Regent was condemned by the Paris Parliament, torn and burned, with printers prosecuted. The Archbishop's circular defends the Faith while denouncing the Parliament’s action, and calls clergy to prayer and fortitude. London and Madrid postings note court appointments and troop movements as of early April 1718.
