From Vienna to Semlin dispatches describe Turkish resistance under Scutari Pacha and Scanderbeg reminiscences as Austrian forces press toward Belgrade. Muted hope for peace grows as Russia and Vienna weigh terms while shortages and fever trouble troops.
A historical report detailing annual revenues and expenses of the Eagle India Company across Bengal Bahar Orissa Benares and Owde. It lists mint duties port collections salt and opium sales and revenue from customs with latest estimates and receipts. It also covers charges for civil works buildings fortifications and military garrisons, plus advances and charges on account of stant gym, per the latest advices.
Reports from June describe Shae the Grand Visit arriving in Servia with much of his army as Turkish forces move against the Russian army commanded by General Rennanzow. British and Austrian observers note French or Moldavian alignments, with Turks gathering near Bucharest and Pransylvania as actions unfold near Belgrade and across the Sava and Unna rivers.
