Meeting at Guildhall on American trade and petition to the King
A Bristol meeting at the Guildhall on September 27 1775 urged Britain to preserve its Anglo American trade. Resolutions defended trade with America, warned against measures harming commerce and famine relief, and called for a petition to the King to stop civil war. The group planned to read and deliver the resolutions to Parliament.
