Opposition to drainage bill invitation from Cambridge Journal
A reader recounts an advertisement in the Cambridge Journal inviting navigators to join an opposition to a drainage bill. He suspects attorney C Martindale seeks retainers, recounts costly opposition tactics, and notes the bill eventually passed despite heavy costs. He warns against subscribing, stressing the need to preserve 300,000 acres of land and national interests.
