Falmouth boat by Col Fuller device sinks on piling
A newly built boat of about three tons burthen, devised by Col Fuller under Mr Barnard, was launched near the Falcon dock in the Admiralty Lords presence. It could not sink, yet struck a piling causing a hole in the bottom and wrecking the design. Also notes Oxford estate bequest to Queen's College and future fellowships, several notable deaths, and local civic appointments and races with winners.
