Seamen Fleet Recruitment Winding Down and Local Tragedy

Bristol reports most able seamen enlisted as the press for the fleet winds down. A Lewinsmead pipemaker, Mr Tippet, was found hanging in his workshop on Tuesday. Cambridge notes the marriage of Rev John Jacob Oakes, eldest son of Dr Oakes, to Miss Dorothy Wrangel, grandchildren of Sir John Jacob.
