Imperial rescript on Meiningen guardianship dispute
From the London Gazette a March 7 notice details an imperial rescript addressing the guardianship of Saxe Meiningen. It condemns the attempted occupation by Saxe Cobourg Gotha and Hildburghausen, orders withdrawal of troops, annuls the duchy’s guardianship, and assigns new regency while declaring two princes incapable of inheriting. Also covers arrears of Circle funding to France and a Hungarian appointment to Prince Albert of Saxony.
