Notable Norfolk Justice Dies At Norwich
Norwich reports the death of Richard Ferrier Esq a Justice of the Peace for the Corporation and for the County of Norfolk. In Bristol a fatal quarrel between two young lawyers James Burgess and John Kimmerly over a handkerchief led to Burgess being stabbed in the belly with a knife. Burgess died the following Tuesday. Kimmerly is in custody after surrendering the weapon and being moved to Bridewell then Newgate where he showed penitence.
