European political upheaval and naval threats reported

A Brussels packet details an Aulic Council decision fining the Prussian king 2000 marks and a Landgrave of Hesse Cassel rescript. It notes Spain ceding Florida to France, French plans against our Caribbean posts, Portugal’s strong, though perhaps futile, effort, and a yellow fever outbreak at Bristol. It recalls Buonaparte’s influence on Italian unrest, Worsley’s Venice retreat, and a Norwich summons to curb disturbances. It closes with notes on a dyeing patent and a mock perpetual motion claim.
