Storm Rips Copenhagen Sound Frigate Lost and Havoc Spreads

A violent storm on the 21st caused severe damage at Copenhagen and along the coast. The 30 gun frigate Charlotte broke from anchors and wrecked near Saltholm with all hands and guns saved. Over 20 ships stranded on the Swedish coast, many Dutch or Swedish. Villages suffer destruction of cattle and buildings as weather wrecks land and sea.

Countess of Drogheda Dies in Childbirth in Dublin

Ireland. Dublin. Last Tuesday died in Bolton-street the Countess of Drogheda in child birth. She was daughter to the Viscount Duncannon. Her death is greatly lamented as a lady endowed with all the virtues of her sex.
