The Life and Death of Overan Williams in London Crime

An Irish jeweller named John Williams, alias Overan, born in Cork, rose through a chain of robberies in Ireland and England. He aligned with Eatley, faced trials for robberies including Mrs. Stone at the Star and Garter, Pletten where they were acquitted due to lack of evidence. After repeated crimes and escapes, Overan returned to London, robbed Venables at the Bunch of Grapes in the Tower, was captured, tried at the Old Bailey, sentenced to death and executed.
