Montreal and Quebec reports from Philadelphia, 1775

An October 25 1775 Philadelphia journal excerpt claims American forces hold Montreal and have intercepted enemy provisions bound for St Juan's. It notes entrenched positions near the fort, a proposed capitulation rejected by General Montgomery, and lack of news from Canada on the Montreal and Quebec expedition. A letter from Philadelphia dated October 20 1775 is mentioned.
