In Dublin on April 21 this week the Lady Dowager Mountgarret died. On Thursday William Bellfour Esquire Member of Parliament for the Borough of Augher died at his lodgings in Castle Street. By his death an estate of 1700 pounds per year goes to Henry Townley Esquire his nephew.

Horse races at Newmarket defeat stir in April meeting
On Monday the Contribution of 1000 Guineas was run for and won by Sir Michael Newton. Nine started with Duke of Bridgwater second and Earl of Halifax fourth. Yesterday three Horses started for the Sco Sweep Stakes won by Mr Panion's Hortse. Today Lord Middleton's Horse beat Mr Greswood's Horse for 100 Guineas.
