Dorset and Francis and Arne chased by privateer in sea alert

In Mountjoy April 4 reports state Dorset, Conner, Francis and Arne, and Darby from Chester to London, were intercepted between Land's End and Scilly by a small Spanish Privateer but escaped. April 16 letters from Jena Brown inform that Swan brigantine, under Robert and William Cleeves, was pursued by a Spanish Privateer from four in the morning to four in the afternoon ten leagues south of Cape Clear, forcing a retreat to Cork.
