Notice of Transfer Book Closure and Court Meetings

East India House dated January 26 1825 announces transfer books for the United Company of Merchants of England trading to the East Indies will close March 3 at 3 PM and reopen April 4. A Quarterly General Court is set for March 23 at Leadenhall Street, a General Court for election of six directors for four years on April 13, and the member list will be ready March 29.

Royal Appointments For Coronation Ambassadors

From the Tuesday Gazette: February 8 1825 The King appoints Duke of Northumberland Knight of the Garter as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the King of France for the Coronation. The King also appoints Frederick Lambto as Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to the Court of the Catholic Majesty.

The Crown Office announces a parliamentary replacement for Cambridge Borough. The Right Hon. James Graham, the Marquis of Graham, takes the seat in the current Parliament, replacing Charles Madryll Cheere, Esq. who is deceased.

Royal Artillery Promotions and Militia Commissions Noted
