Kobé residents greet new British minister in Japan

A large, representative group of Kobé British residents gathered at the Municipal Hall to present an address to Mr Fraser, Her Majesty's Representative, with Mrs Fraser and Mr J H Longford present. The address bore the signatures of all Kobé British residents then in town. The report also details the death of Mr Hida head of the Imperial Estates Bureau in a train accident and notes his significant role in opening Japanese ports to foreign commerce.
