Passengers Outward and Destinations by Steamship Lines
Passenger list dated December incidents shows outward passages on P and O steamers Massilia from Southampton and Marseille to Penang Shanghai Yon Kong Ceylon and Singapore with named passengers including captains, families, and several single travelers. Later entries list additional departures from Suez and Southampton to Hong Kong Shanghai Ceylon and China with numerous individuals and accompanying parties. The record reflects mid 19th century ocean travel patterns and passenger movements.
