Fragmentary text notes a meeting to honor soldiers and thanks to organizers and canvassers. details are garbled but convey gratitude for support and action by individuals named Stevenson and Clarkson among others.
In a tense council meeting, J. T. McLaughlin notes dual offices held by the secretary treasurer. A motion appoints Mr. Pound as editor while Cameron and Carson voice opposition. Adjournment follows as debate highlights governance tensions and local concerns about grain markets and wartime casualty mentions.
Two local youths, Patienes Hathaway and R Power, died serving in France. Hathaway came from Barr Colony in 1908 at age five, Power from the United States in 1907 and living in Rex district since. They left the Rex area to join the forces and paid the supreme sacrifice for justice and freedom. Community plans a fundraising tea in February at Mrs. J. B. Trottier’s home to aid the organ fund.
February events listed include a concert at Wine Ruft and an annual seed fair at Masonic Hall Loydminster. Also noted are a Bob Beatty Dairy Day and a masquerade ball at IseyTown Hall with a St Valentines program at John Bell Church. The fragment mentions a fundraiser evening but details are unclear.

The fire started after the house occupants were awakened by a scream. one man hurled his sister-in-law from a window as flames spread. Scott McLeod and David Hanna barely escaped through an upper window amid severe burns and cold.
A community dance is scheduled at the Wil Hasek ae ap Lo venue. Organizers announce music, refreshments, and dancing for residents, with doors opening in the evening and no admission fee listed.
