Former Taber Man Killed At Beynon Alta
Inquest into the death of Harold Henry Sowerby of Longview Alberta was adjourned. Sowerby, about 20, was killed near Beynon Alberta Thursday when struck by a truck while employed by the C N R. Survivors include wife and two children of Longview and his mother Mrs Isobel Aldrey of New Westminster BC. Funeral service will be held at Hugh River Alberta on Monday. The Sowerby family is recalled by Taber old timers.

The inquest opens at 2 PM Saturday at Christiansen Brothers Funeral Home. bodies viewed today for identification. The crash occurred when a passenger train from Coutts struck the car, pushing it along the tracks over 400 feet. Anderson died in wreckage while Jensen’s body was hurled from the auto. both deaths reported as instantaneous. Police and physicians investigated. train crew completed its run after the scene was secured. Raymond residents were shocked by the Craddock crossing tragedy on Friday afternoon.
