Technicality bars voting for Truman in Michigan
Lansing, Michigan, Oct 29. Through a technicality it appears no one can vote for President Truman in Michigan. State Secretary Fred M. Alger Jr. said the Democratic party has not filed a certified list of its 19 presidential electors, a list due 25 days before the election. Alger planned to confer with Attorney General Eugene F. Black to determine options to place the electors on the ballot.

Raymond Men Victims In Car and Train Collision
Two Raymond men died when their car was struck by a train near Craddock on a Friday afternoon. Arthur Jensen, 45, driver, and his companion, aged about 50, were killed instantly. The train dragged the car about 400 feet. Doctors declared the victims beyond aid. Coroner E. D. Fryell and police attended. an inquest is likely. Conductor Alan Young of Lethbridge and engineer W. Washbrook were on the train. Jensen was brother to Raymond's mayor, and Leroy Anderson, a former Barnwell resident, was also killed. Earlier, 16-year-old Lyle Laycraft escaped serious injury in a High River accident involving a truck struck by a northbound passenger train near Connemara. The train left Lethbridge at 6:30 am. one truck with cattle was involved and some cattle injuries were reported. In Parry Sound, Ont., a by-election date of Dec 6 was set then postponed due to local elections. Charles Cragg’s death prompted the by-election.

Car Hits Cow Sparking Burns Kill Lundbreck Man
