Farmers' daily butter, 26c. Changes in Time Table New time which will affect all arriving and leaving at .Lethbrioge, will go into effect on the C.P.R. on October 31. It is expected that the Crow's Nest trains will go back to their regular winter time. There is also the possibility- of some Important changes being made in the trains from the south. City Contract City .teams which have been en- gaged on the contract of ploughing C. P.R. fireguards .along' the Crow's Nest line west of the city, and on the Mac- leod and Aldesyde branches, complet- ed their work, yesterday, and the teams reached the -city again this -morning. The contract has been a good investment for the city, not par- ticularly from a profitable standpoint, so much as in obviating the necessity of laying off a large force of men and teams from city employ. Several con- tracts for ploughing for farmers in the vicinity, of the city are now being fig- ured on by Commissioner Grace for this force of men, WANTED The Home Guard headquarters and rifle range adjoining the city police station on Second avenue South is now open every evening for all active and honorary members, and also to the drivers of the automobile squad- ron. You are invited to call and prac- tice rifle shooting. The Home Guard will parade in front of the Chinook club oa Friday evening next, at 3 o'clock sharp, with j rifles, for regular drill and musketry exercises. A large turn-out is re- quested. The regulation badges will be distributed, which will entitle mem- bers to transportation on street cars one way when attending drills. :The Ambulance section and First Aid class will be instructed in future at the Home Guard headquarters on Second avenue South, on Monday and j Friday evenings, at S o'clock. New j First Aid Class starts on Friday night. Dr. Thompson and Fire Chief Hardie will instruct. On Sunday afternoon at 2.30 twelve cars attached to the Home Guard Automobile squadron will assemble in front of the Chinook club for the .purpose entertaining the Australian Cadets to an etcursion. through the irrigation district and to other points of interest.
