TORONTO Oct 15 Hon Hugh Edward Rose 76 chief justice and president of the high court of justice for Ontario died at his home. Born in Toronto he was called to the Ontario bar in 1894 appointed a judge of the supreme court of Ontario in 1916 and became chief justice and president in 1930. He studied at the University of Toronto graduating in 1891. In 1908 he was named king's counsel and practiced law with Toronto firms.
