Canadian wartime curb on instalment buying takes effect next week

Canadian press reports that the wartime prices and trade board will restrict instalment buying and borrowing starting Oct 14. Down payments rise to at least one third for most goods and 50 percent for autos, with 12 to 18 month repayment and minimum $5 monthly payments. Revered Clergyman Dr Carille Praised For Lifelong Service

The obituary recalls Dr Carille Rey Gartile C H B E D D Litt born in London who became a journalist, Spurgeon student, Dockland mission pastor in Marylebone and Folkestone for 40 years, editor of the Baptist Times, and a wartime envoy to France and North America. New Bacon Price Set by Canadian Bacon Board

Radio Station Found in Greenland as Navy Seizes Vessel
