Wallace Retiring After Long Service

R P Wallace KC longtime Edmonton clerk of the supreme court and sheriff of the Judicial district of Edmonton will retire at month end after twenty five years in courthouse duties. A Simpson will assume Edmonton duties on December 1. Wallace began law in 1905 after McGill and a year in France, later practiced in Lethbridge and Edmonton. He plans to retire to Vancouver.

Mounted Police Cases Concluded

Several charges heard in district Royal Canadian Mounted Police courts over the past days. Anthony Petrone of Hillcrest found guilty of common assault before Police Magistrate Fred Antrobus at Blairmore and bound to keep the peace for six months. Anthony Sterba of Bellevue fined 75 dollars plus costs for possession of game out of season and another 75 dollars plus costs for unprime pelts and highway fault. Earl Louis Metzner of Stirling fined unspecified amount plus costs after a vehicle accident before Police Magistrate E. Browne at Taber.

Two Injured When Car Plunges Into Ravine Near Claresholm
