L H Harrison district grand lodge Bnai Brith president told Lethbridge lodge No 1518 at Beth Israel that military alliances cannot prevent war and urged a strong United Nations. He cited Palestine as a U N test of enforcement capability and praised democracies for communal harmony. He noted Bnai Brith spans 857 men lodges 510 women chapters and 1,400 youth groups in US and Canada. Accompanying him was B I Glass district grand lodge secretary.

Dominion Bank of Winnipeg appoints a new Western Supervisor to replace E. B. Cameron who becomes Western Superintendent at head office.
