Future tests will carry about five tons of alcohol and liquid oxygen within a total 14 ton rocket weight. The warhead will house scientific instruments instead of explosives. Ottawa officials said today the two cent per quart subsidy on fluid milk retail price is separate from subsidies under discussion between milk producers and the government prices board. Producers recently complained about a subsidy reduction effective May 1. The winter to summer rate subsidies are paid by the agricultural department, while the innocent subsidy is a prices board subsidy paid via the commodity prices stabilization board.

In Edmonton on May 13, officials said about three times the usual volume of registered seed has been allocated this season by the Alberta Crop Improvement Association. Field crops commissioner A M Wilson noted demand is so strong that the Alberta Seed Growers Association cannot meet all orders.
Four teenagers were burned to death when their automobile lost control and struck a railroad car near Adrian Michigan. The victims were Joe Acostas 17 Ignacio Trevino 17 Alma Converse 17 and Doris Greeman 16 all from the area.

SIMLA India May 13 AP The British cabinet mission after eight days of talks with the Moslem League and Congress failed to reach a plan for India independence but said it still hopes to resolve the crisis. The conference ended in breakdown over a demand for a separate Moslem state Pakistan with Congress favoring unified India. Both communiques offered no clear reason for the collapse and announced the mission will report to Delhi and issue next steps in a few days.
In Dachau on May 15 a general military court sentenced 58 operators of the Mauthausen extermination camp to hang. Three others received life terms as the 61 defendants were found guilty of murdering thousands in Nazi persecution. The court read each doom aloud in a 45 minute procedure.
Ottawa May 12 H S Gerson 43 former munitions dept official pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and Edward Mazerall 20 former NRC engineer pleaded not guilty to conspiring to break the Official Secrets Act and two other charges. Trial on conspiracy count to begin tomorrow.
