A long-awaited Turner Valley test near Pincher Creek confirms deep Madison lime gas at 11,927 feet with 5,680 psi bottom pressure. Gulf-Pineher No 1, spudded April 1947, produced a 10 million cubic foot per day wet gas flow after a water cushion was cleared, signaling a major oil and gas vista for Alberta and nearby Montana.
