Housing resolution sent to Ottawa from Crow's Nest Pass
A regional group from Fernie to Burmis has forwarded a resolution to the parliamentary veterans affairs committee seeking a housing program under the veterans land act. The plan would allow veterans to buy two lots with 50 foot frontage instead of the act's minimum half acre. A Coleman meeting, with Citizens Rehabilitation, British Empire Service League, coal firms, and United Mine Workers locals, endorsed the proposal and the resolution was dispatched by air mail via S. Short.

More than a thousand music lovers attended a two and a half hour program at the North Coaldale Mennonite Prayer House featuring choral singing and a nine piece string orchestra. Nearly 200 voices led by choirmaster J. Neufeld performed in English and German under the direction of Frank Dueck Jake Janz Mr Geddert Mr Siebert and Neufeld. Speakers urged music and song to draw youths to Christ and sustain church interest as the Plett sisters performed We Be a Friend to Jesus.

Creamery Butter Production Drops Sharply in South Alberta
Edmonton reports February butter output fell across Alberta and Canada due to milk shortages. Alberta total dropped 12.2 percent while the Dominion declined 183. northern Alberta down 2.9 percent, central 11.8 and southern 28.2. February production totaled 1,423,839 pounds versus 1,622,435 a year earlier. Stores held 571,772 pounds on March 1. last year at 1,524,002 pounds.

Fire at Warner Service Garage Damages Truck
A fire broke out at the Warner Service Garage last Friday when a truck being repaired ignited likely from a wiring short.
