Bulgarian prosecutor seeks death penalty for four churchmen

Associated Press reports in Cofia on March 4 that a Bulgarian prosecutor demanded the death penalty for four Protestants among 15 defendants charged with spying and treason. Dimiter Geogiev claimed the plot included US and UK intervention and named American church groups and the World Council of Churches as part of the network. The four named are Vassil Georgiev Ziaprov, Yanko Nikolov Ivanov, Nikols Mihailov Naumov, and Georgi Nikolov Cherney.
