International Joint Commission to hear US water diversion bid

The International Joint Commission will hold four public hearings in Southern Alberta on the United States application to divert waters of the Waterton and Belly Rivers. Abbott Govt Pays 75 Percent of Diking Cost in Manitoba Flood Aid

Finance Minister Abbott announced in commons that the federal government will provide 12,500,090 dollars to Manitoba as an initial payment for Red River valley flood rehabilitation.
