Lake, a farmer who has llv ed near Carinangay for many years. Typhoid is aaid to he the cause of death, and deceased was ill only a fortnight. SEWER GAS EXPLODED SIX WERE KILLED Boston, -Mass., June. ueie Killed and seven scilouslj in iureci by an explosion of sewer CBB in Calgary Oil Men File Thomas Morrisey and Edward Shaw, directors of the Morrisey Oil Coal, of Calgary, were visi- tors in the city yesterday, stopping at the Lethbrldge Hotel. The party filed eleven sections of land in IT-IT, north of Tabor, and Mr. Morrisey states that about thirty sections have been filed on in that section, upon hlch he looks as being very" likely oil bearing. He has been in Alberta for upwards of three years looking up oil locations and statistics, and is a prospector of long standing reputa- tion. O. H. Patrick, M.D., Calgary, is president of the Morrisey Co., Mr. Mor risey is vice-president, while Mr. Shaw is field manager. Arrested for Breaking Out of Store A man named Larkiii has been com- mitted for trial on a charge of break- ing out of a Chinese restaurant and rooming house, at Stirling. This sin- gular charge ia placed against him in connection with an alleged theft of which he is supposed to, have committed. He had access to the res- taurant, but it is alleged that in an ef- fort to escape capture he went through a window, doing considerable damage to himself us wcfll ;IH to the building.
