Hong Kong expedition inquiry vote ends two day debate
Ottawa July 28 The house of commons rejected an opposition motion calling for a reorganization of the defence department in light of the Duff Hong Kong report. Conservatives and allied members backed the Duff commission and criticized opposition critics of Sir Lyman Duff. The Hong Kong expedition included 1985 Winnipeg Grenadiers and Royal Rifles of Canada who fought until Hong Kong's surrender last December.

RAF Fliers Die in Midair Crash at Pearce
