Tourist Dies Of Injuries In Hospital Here

Benjamin K. Edwards of Evanston Illinois died in hospital here from injuries after his car collided with a Canadian Pacific Railway diesel electric locomotive. Edwards a Northwestern University sophomore was holidaying in Canada when the accident occurred. His guardian Donovan Erickson flew from Chicago to Lethbridge to bring the body home. A coroner’s jury investigated the death and adjourned to July 27.

Vancouver man dies after fall from freight train in Winnipeg

Millard R. Iverson, 28, of Vancouver, died in hospital from injuries after falling from a moving freight train. Police say he hitchhiked a ride westward from Kenora, Ontario, and was brushed from the parapet as the train slowed entering Winnipeg Monday night.

Donna Laycraft nine year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Gordon Laycraft of district twelve miles north of town drowned in Vulcan swimming pool Tuesday afternoon about four o clock. Sister failed to notice her missing until after the dressing room trip. Search found Donna, the pools first fatality after three years. She could not swim and it was her first time in the pool. An inquest will be held tonight.

Queen Ingrid and Three Princesses Hurt In Car Crash

In Denmark Queen Ingrid and Princesses Margrethe Benedikte and Anne Marie were injured when her car hit a tree near Graasten. The queen suffered a concussion a bruised eye and a fractured knee cap.
