The approximate length of work is 171,4 miles and tenders can bo submitted for one or more of tho six sections into which this is divided, tenders for the whole work being preferred. Bidders will bo required cither personally or by representation to visit and inspect line of work tendered for and satisfy themselves aa to local conditions and materials. Each tender muHt bo accompanied by an accepted cheque payable at par in Edmonton to tho Minister of Public Works to the amount of five per cent. (5%) of tho amount of the tondor total. Should the contract be awarded the successful bidder shall be required to execute a guarantee bond on an approved Surety Company to tho amount of twenty percent. (20%) of his tondor as a guarantee of tho faithful fulfilment of his contract. ' The cheques of tho . unsuccessful bidders will be returned within six days after tho contract has boon awarded.
