A good racing programme was the main attraction, while the Parker shows put up a free exhibition that kept the spectators busy during the intervals between the races, a per- iod that Is most trying without these pastimes. Johnny Wright, the clever rider from Oregon, did some fancy Roman riding around the track on two swift iionies; Chenette of Wyoming staged Borne fancy roping and riding stunts that amused and entertained every-' one, and Miss Ernestine La Rose, her trained leopards, furnished plenty of excitement. Every one of the acts was worthy of the applause it evoked, and the cit- nens had another opportunity .of see- ,ng the same things today, owing the generosity of the Parker show- men.
