RJ Mayor Dies At 59 In Montreal

Robert J. Magor 59 longtime president of National Steel Car Corp and noted Canadian financier died at Royal Victoria Hospital after an operation. A Montreal native his career spanned from Griffintown tea peddler to engineering adviser and utilities reformer. Airdromes In Holland Hit By RAF US Air Corps Raid

The Royal Air Force and United States air corps jointly raided three Holland airfields Hamstede Alkmaar and Valkenburg this morning. Bombs hit hangars administration buildings and dispersal points while Valkenburg was heavily machine gunned. It marked the first United States army air force participation in RAF Bomber Command operations from the British Isles.
