Stolen Postal Truck Recovered As Two Robbers Flee

A stolen Edmonton area postal truck was found abandoned near Onoway six kilometres southeast, with a mail bag turned in to police. Two men in dark clothing and balaclavas hijacked the driver, who was left gagged but unharmed in a storage room at the Onoway post office. another mail heist nearby is linked in police notes.

California storms devastate piers and towns in coast to inland sweep

Four California counties were declared disaster areas as towering waves from the week’s third storm wrecked homes and famous piers. Grave burial mix up ends in wrong cemetery

In Greenville Mississippi an elderly woman was buried in the wrong cemetery after funeral home operators misidentified her. Elizabeth Nathaniel, 92, was buried in Myrtle Donald's grave at Robinson Cemetery near Moorhead and later disinterred and reburied in Greenville. Donald’s family noticed the discrepancy during Nathaniel’s wake. The mix up prompted apologies from Bea Huddleston of Bea's Century Funeral Home. The Nathaniel family faced upset as the wake was cancelled and reburial completed in the correct cemetery.
