The board for trade said Canada supplied Britain 65.75 million hundredweight of wheat in 1947, part of nearly 84 million hundredweight total wheat imports. Canada supplied almost all total coarse imports over 2 million hundredweight, with only 140 thousand from the United States. Total grain and flour imports exceeded 118 million hundredweight. Demolition at Lethbridge POW camp ends transfer plan

After completion of demolition, the Lethbridge prisoner of war camp land will revert to the Alberta Lands department for disposition. Public works has the release order from the Jamis department and continues site work as required.
