Crows Nest Forest Products plans one shift through 1963 with no recalls yet despite staff of 210. Crestbrook Forest Products keeps two shifts at Cranbrook and Canal Flats with 100 to 120 laid off. Vancouver officials say lumber gains could cut forest industry unemployment to about 25 percent by mid January from over 30 percent.
